family

Hi my name is Chris Ross (I’m on the right) and I am a graphic designer relocating from Washington D.C. to St. Louis with my family. The love of my life will be attending Washington University in the fall which puts me back “On the Job Trail” in search of employment.

It’s been quite a journey—over the past 8 years I’ve held positions as Designer, Senior Designer, Art Director, and most recently Web Programmer. This time has presented me with countless opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects that I am truly grateful for. I hope these experiences are reflected in my creativity, attention to detail, and ability to problem solve.

When I’m not trekking through the creative wilderness, I like to stay busy outdoors. You can usually find me running around the neighborhood with our dog Indiana, riding my bike, or picking up heavy things and putting them right back down at the local gym. I’m pumped to use my experiences with a new company and continue the journey together in St. Louis.

UPDATES: Onthejobtrail.com will remain active but a lot has changed since its launch. Since relocating, my career has taken several exciting turns. I initially joined a shipping logistics software company called Shipworks as an Art Director, and then moved to an Associate Creative Director role at Creative Producers Group—a corporate events company, where I had the opportunity to work with well-known brands across the country. These experiences sparked my interest in freelancing and led to the foundational ideas for my current venture, Cross Creative.

After a stint as Creative Director at Human Longevity, Inc., a pioneering health and wellness company started by the renowned scientist Dr. Craig Venter, I decided it was time to channel all I had learned into my own business. I now run Cross Creative, where we help clients, big and small, find their voice at the intersection of design and strategy.
